ABSTRACT

Köroğlu stories, which have are quite common a reputation in verbal Turkısh culture, are be considered in two main versions as East and West. The group containing episode of hero’s birth in grave constitutes Eastern versions and other group containing episode of hostler blinded constitutes Western versions.

Turkey in Western group, presents rich material about story of Köroğlu. This Köroğlu story compiled in Velimeşe Town, Çorlu District, Tekirdağ Province, exemplifies the form of story in Thrace.
