Abstract

In this study, within Life Long Learning Grundtvig Programme of National Agency, during the visit to Köln, Germany between the dates October 14-18, 2013; the teacher training process of Turkey is compared with the other visiting countries teacher training processes under the light of the handled information obtained with the application of the new constructions of the declared reform results realized in North Ren-Vestfalia Province (Germany) in 26 May 2009. Excluding the curriculum followed in teacher training programmes from the research, the issues that how many years are needed to train a teacher predominantly in Turkey, Germany, Austria, Latvia, England, Romania, Hungary, Spain, and Poland, what kind of processes a teacher goes into until he/she begins to the profession, to what extent training and application before and after undergraduate programme especially in teacher training undergraduate programmes take place are discussed.
